THE SEVEN MAJOR CHAKRAS
The First Chakra is called the “root” chakra, and is located at the base of the spine. When in balance, we are enthusiastic about life.
The Second Chakra is located near the lower back (below the naval). The sacral chakra connects our emotions, calm and creativity.
The Third Chakra is located two inches above the naval at the solar plexis, and governs our mood and self-esteem.
The Fourth Chakra is located in the center of the chest. It facilitates the ability to experience compassion and a connection with one’s self and others.
The Fifth Chakra is located in the throat and governs our communication and creative expression.
The Sixth Chakra, at the center of the forehead, addresses intuition and insight.
The Seventh Chakra, located at the crown of the head addresses spirituality and wisdom.
